Apparently I missed this craziness from Nico Nico late '08, but it had me highly amused as an easy glimpse at how such a dumb thing quickly goes viral and spawns quite interesting responses. Those silly Japanese...

Several vids, so behind a cut!
We start with ShingoEX style messing with Goldeneye for the N64 by having the cart slightly lifted from the slot, thus causing hilarity.

<lj-embed id="6" />

And then follow up with the start of NicoNico and 2ch craziness.

<lj-embed id="7" />

And it continues...

<lj-embed id="8" />

And enters the realm of sheer awesome...

<lj-embed id="9" />

And this one was my fave.
After Con junk

Overall, remarkably unremarkable. But I still had a great time as always.

Dealer's room was okay, just nothing new or impressive on the list of goodies to be had. Even Sasuga Books which is usually the place to go was kinda weak. Gurren Lagan Groundworks book was scored tho, at a pretty good price for what it had. I was pleased.

AMV contest blew nuts as per usual. I only watched the pro contest, I heard Kyle won the amateur one tho, sorry I missed that. :/ The pro contest tho, seriously, like 2 videos were good. What the hell is with videos these days where they think its cool or good to have several hundred well edited cuts.. but the cuts are pointless, they just try and keep to the music, but not with the scenes being shown, or the lyrics, etc. Just a bunch of nonsensical meaningless cuts. Hooray, you can sync tons of edits, good for you, now use those skills to actually make a video, not a seizure.

Cosplay was pretty nifty. Lots of horrible issues revolving around technical difficulties thanks to Windows Vista, and some other issues involving the stupid concert following the contest. The quality of costumes was mostly weak. There were several good ones tho thankfully, and a few excellent skits to be honest. The Big O skit and the Cons! skit was excellent stuff really. All the awards dished out were great imo (Minus the craftsmanship award, but I can give tons of leeway there due to the circumstances) Naturally the hilarity of the after con whine fest from cosplayers is always amusing. Noone can ever win with those pricks.

The Emma Mae concert (why oh why wasn't it an MMA concert?) was terribad. Seriously, she looks like a dude, she sings great, that's for sure, but why the hell was she there besides money? And the anime she had stunk, plus she had to have plants in the audience to shout "We love you!" during the concert for her to reply to during the little "chat sessions" between songs. Ugh

Let's see... went to Steve Bennet's party which rocked so much Steve wasn't even there himself... but we got to see what I think was an underaged Ryu blow up doll sitting on the couch. Also found out that getting slightly smashed on cheap cheap booze = me and Mike talking about dumb people from highschool. And then ends with me going to sleep in a bed with Kelly, but waking up in a different bed with lex. I'm not drinking again til next year methinks.

Here are some photos I took.

And here's a special moment from the con for someone else.

And now my room at home has become the Specialty Gaming room... thank lex.

Somehow, they can fit those massive football heads between those bars with ease and slip right out of their cage on a whim. But we have spoiled them to the point that they will just lay around inside the cage and wait for us to just hand them their food. Cretins.

A/S/L? Misa. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Adventurin' time.

Misa in some sort of archaic rat torture device.

Ms. Sakaki. One of my favorite pics. I just like the leaning with one hand against my arm look.

Misa emerging from under my shirt. No, she wasn't coming out of my pants, you sick bastards.

Misa had by this point destroyed half of the rat torture device by eating off on of the supports to the top of the cage. This didn't stop her from still using it.

Stripe and her newly pierced ear, thanks to one of the other little monsters. Probably fighting over the food Stripe tends to stash around the cage. I kinda want to buy her a tiny hoop earring for it so she can be a pirate for Halloween.

Stripe and Misa both trying to be adorable.

And finally, Trent, the Beast Master.

And there you have it. Stripe, Stripey, and Crapface have grown up, and are terrorizing their old man. And my life has been proven to be that much more pathetic. :)

But hey, Akon soon, woo!

Oh, and have a bonus pic of Trent on a late night show awhile back!

I've finally decided to be less lazy and post something. But since I really have not much going on at this moment, I'll just post up some pics of my newest "friends", cuz I figure doronjosama will want to see 'em. So more of this yakking behind the cut, and pics!

And here's my babies. Since Luca died, I figure I give a home to a few more rats. They are as of yet not named, still waiting to learn their personalities more before I choose names. As of so far their personalities are freaked out, and scared out of their mind.

This one has th nice blaze (white stripe) on her face. For now we just refer to her as Stripe, and yes, it has been suggested MANY times to name her after the Gremlin, Stripe.

Here's the two of them hiding in my blanket on the bed, shortly before Stripe decided to jump off the bed and meet the cat who was actually more scared of her than she was of it.

The non-blazed rat showing us her climbing skills... think she was seriously curious on how to get down.

Both girls sharing a piece of food together underneath their arch.

They found Luca's cup! And promptly got adorable in it!

Stripe posing for the camera.

And that'll do it for now. They have been much fun thus far, tho they make one hell of a racket at night, they do scamper away and hide anytime anyone goes to look in on them. A few times they have taken to just standing as still as possible, no matter what they were doing when they noticed we were watching them... like they are some sort of ninja rats, blending into their surroundings. In about a week they will be joined by their other friend who is just a tad too undeveloped for me to take home yet, an adorable blue rat.

I'm pleased to say the least. :)
